Bahaar has a keen interest in immigration and asylum law. Her past experience includes challenging the unlawful detention of individuals in the UK, as part of a pro-bono legal representation team. She graduated from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in 2018, where she completed a Bachelor of Laws – LLB (Hons).
In 2017, Bahaar was awarded a scholarship to study at the NALSAR University of Law in India for a semester, where she learned about the interplay between South Asian law and culture, casteism and the role of political identity in helping to create enduring change.
Bahaar currently works for the UK Civil Service, where she helps support the implementation of UK public health policy. She will be joining Accenture Consulting Group in 2021, where she intends to deepen her public service focus.
